rockpaperscissors was started
by Tanya Russell in order
to bring Feng Shui design
principles into work spaces
and living spaces. The name
rockpaperscissors was chosen
as it is a game often played
in Japan, called jan-ken-po,
used in making important
decisions.
All five elements of Feng
Shui are represented, with
rock representing earth,
paper representing tree,
scissors representing metal,
and the reds/blues representing
fire and water. All five
elements coming together
signify the balance of elements
in Feng Shui. The game rock
paper scissors has also
been recently linked to
the magic square by mathmeticians,
another key component in
Feng Shui.
