There
are two aspects of Feng
Shui that are imperative
to examine within a space
to ensure that the occupants
are living in an energy-enhancing
environment. Typically,
people exposed to one or
the other over long periods
of time report feeling tired
all of the time, having
restless sleep, and other
problems of varying degrees,
from allergies to more serious
illnesses such as cancer.
This is particularly important
in the case of babies and
children.
Geo comes from the Greek
word for earth and Pathic
from the Greek word pathos
meaning to suffer and cause
disease. Geopathic stress
can be caused by several
things, including underground
streams and major building
works affecting the earth's
energy lines. Most spaces
have some energy lines crossing
it - the important thing
to note is whether it is
a negative stream, and the
intensity of the line, to
see if it is energy or health-affecting.
Geopathic stress particularly
has a strong effect on the
correct functioning of the
lympathic system and the
immune system, which can
be compromised after long
periods of exposure.
GS lines vary in strength
and in width however this
distortion can be measured
and this is done by using
a scale of 0 to 16, 0 representing
7.83 htz and 16 being around
250 htz. 0 to 3 is generally
considered to be safe, 4
to 8 is said to be avoided
and 9 upwards is considered
to be serious enough to
affect the lymphatic system
and your body's defence
system, having been linked
to cancer and MS in various
studies in Switzerland and
Germany.
In any geopathic
stress consultation, I will
check for geopathic stress
on the property and note
all lines and their associated
strength. Once this is done,
each line is treated using
earth acupuncture. Of particular
note is to ensure that the
occupants do not have any
geopathic stress over sleeping
and major working areas,
i.e. spaces that they will
be sitting in or lying in
for extended periods of
time. A typical consultation
will take approximately
1-2 hours to detect and
treat GS, though larger
properties may take longer
if several lines are detected.
In order to be safe, a contingency
plan for movement of beds
and other furniture will
be discussed to ensure the lines are fully avoided.
Three months of telephone-based
support is also offerred
as a part of the consultation.
Most clients report that
children sleeping over GS
immediately begin sleeping
more soundly, particularly
babies, who will avoid GS
lines and will often scrunch
themselves into one side
of their cot to avoid GS.
Adults often report sounder
sleep and waking up more
refreshed if they had previously
been sleeping over a line,
and those working over a
line at a desk report greater
productivity and less tiredness.
Power lines, electrical
wiring, and appliances all
produce electric and magnetic
fields. EMFs are invisible
lines of force that surround
any electrical device. Electrical
and magnetic fields have
different properties and
possibly different ways
of causing biological effects.
EMF exposure has been linked
to lack of energy, weakened
immune systems, to more
serious issues such as leukemia
in children, cancer, SIDs
(cot death) and central
nervous system disorders.
People are now exposed to
EMFs constantly, whether
it is through their electrical
appliances, mobile phones,
and microwaves.
It is impossible to completely
avoid EMFs in the modern
world we live today, but
it is critical to reduce
EMFs in key locations of
the house to ensure that
the occupants are as safe
as possible. During an EMF
consultation I will look
at the electrical and magnetic
readings around all sleeping
and working spaces to ensure
that the occupants are within
safe levels. Within the
consultation I will look
at the mains suppply, power
sockets and light switches,
appliances, and types of
fuses in the house. I will
then put together a comprehensive
recommendation in order
to bring the EMF readings
to normal levels, which
is 5 volts per meter on
electrics, and 50 nanotesla (nT) for magnetic readings.
Clients can request an EMF
consultation only, however
it is highly recommended
that it is combined with
a GS consultation. A full
feng shui consultation includes
both GS and EMFs.
Once all recommendations
are put in place, I will
be available for 3 months
of backup telephone support.
All comprehensive feng shui
consultations, which include
EMF consultations, will
include a follow-up visit
if needed to recheck levels
and provide further recommendations.
